Matches are simulated around your decisions, form, morale and training rather than played as an arcade game. Key moments — penalties, big transfers, contract talks, media appearances — are where you act.

A career starts at age 11–14 in the youth academy and runs to retirement. Each player has their own retirement age, between 32 and 45, shaped by discipline, physical resilience, injury history and the risks you took — so two careers rarely end at the same age. You choose when to stop within that window; the game never forces you out. Careers are scored into one of 14 legacy labels at the end, from club legend to unfulfilled talent.

The base game has 21 countries, each with a three-tier league pyramid — England, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium, Scotland, Austria, Switzerland, Czechia, Denmark, Norway, Poland, Ukraine, Greece, Croatia, Serbia, Romania and Türkiye, which has the deepest pyramid at seven levels from the academy up to the Süper Lig. Five optional regional packs add Latin America, Africa, Asia-Pacific, the Gulf and North America. Every country has its own economy, prestige, injury climate and fan pressure, so where you play changes how the career feels.
